Humans can die within 24 hours of infection. Without treatment, the mortality rate from pneumonic plague approaches 100%. Pneumonic plague is spread through the air. It can be passed from person to person through coughing. Or maybe just breathing on them, or in the air of an airplane, bus, commuter train! More dangerous than texting! I had been thinking the NWO would kill us off with EBOLA. Maybe they will use both. This pneumonic plague reminds me of hanta virus which killed strong young men very quickly. Hanta is easy to mis-diagnose / mis-treat. This pneumo sounds more akin to the 1918 plague than anything I have seen so far. TV news mentioned August 1 that "2 shots" will be required this fall to 'protect' us from diseases. HA! The Vaccines will CAUSE the disease. REPORTS Residents flee China quarantined plague town Aug 5 Frightened residents of a Chinese town sealed off after an outbreak of pneumonic plague have begun to flee under cover of darkness, sneaking around checkpoints set up to stop the spread of the disease. The streets of Ziketan were deserted as medical staff raced to disinfect the area. Some got to Xining, the capital of Qinghai province. The latest victim was a 64-year-old man. He was a neighbour of the 32-year-old herdsman and of a 37-year-old man who died at the weekend. Another nine people are infected and in hospital. Times - The first victim fell ill a day after burying his dog, which had died suddenly. Two days later the man was dead. A Tibetan couple in their 30s died in Tibet in 2008 of pneumonic plague. Aug 3 it does not sound as dangerous as it did yesterday. It appears contained. A doctor at a hospital said a third victim, who is 64-years-old, died Monday. The wife of the herdsman has a quite serious symptom of coughing up blood. Thousands of people have been placed under quarantine in a town in northwest China after a man died of pneumonic plague and 11 others were confirmed infected with the deadly lung infection. The 32-year-old herdsman died in Ziketan in Qinghai province, a sparsely populated area mostly inhabited by Tibetans. Most of the others infected are relatives of the deceased and are in stable condition in a hospital. The town of 10,000 people has been placed under quarantine and a team of experts has been sent to the area. The Qinghai health bureau statement warned that anyone who has visited Ziketan and surrounding areas since July 16 and has developed a fever or a cough should seek treatment at a hospital. Pneumonic plague is a very aggressive infection requiring rapid antibiotic treatment within around 24 hours of infection. Early treatment of pneumonic plague is essential. To reduce the chance of death, antibiotics must be given within 24 hours of first symptoms. Streptomycin, gentamicin, tetracyclines, and chloramphenicol are all effective. Antibiotic treatment for 7 days will protect people who have had direct, close contact with infected patients. Wearing a close-fitting surgical mask also protects against infection. These are EXPENSIVE. The cheap ones do not fully protect. Pneumonic plague, one of the deadliest infectious diseases, is caused by the same bacteria that occurs in bubonic plague, the Black Death.
