U.S. State Department joined in concealing the secret deal whereby Russia votes for UN Security Council sanctions against Iran

The price paid is prohibitive. Moscow claims the rods will be returned, but Iran's capacity for deception and concealment in the entire

The announcements from Moscow broadcast due warning to would-be attackers that the Iranian reactor at Bushehr is under Russian protection.

News that Russia will load nuclear fuel rods into an Iranian reactor has touched off a countdown to a point of no return,
a deadline by which Israel would have to launch an attack on Iran's Bushehr reactor before it becomes immune to any assault,
says former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton. Once the fuel rods are loaded, then an attack on the reactor risks spreading
radiation in the air, and perhaps into the water of the Persian Gulf.
The fuel will be loaded on August 21. This is the start of the physical launch of the reactor.
Israel has laid precise plans to carry out an attack.
Russia pledged that the Russian-built nuclear plant would not go on line this year. This pledge now proves worthless.
Jerusalem is also worried by the news that Russia has stationed S-300 anti-missile batteries in Abkhazia on the Black Sea
because it ties in with the imminent activation of the Bushehr reactor. It is taken as a signal that Israel's air route to Iran is
closed and Moscow will do its utmost to thwart an Israeli strike against Iran's nuclear facilities.

build a nuclear weapon, dimming prospects of an imminent strike on IRAN.
Gary Samore said 'We think that they have roughly a year dash time.' (Shortest time Iran would take to build a nuclear weapon,
judging from its existing facilities and capacity to convert stocks of low-enriched uranium into weapons-grade material,
a process known as (breakout.) Israel believes Iran is only months away from this NOW.

The new US assessment is not clear on what problems Iran's uranium enrichment program is confronting.

NEW concerns about the impact of the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster. Oil from the Deepwater Horizon may have settled to the
bottom of the Gulf of Mexico further east than previously suspected, and at levels toxic to marine life.
Dispersants may have sent droplets of crude to the ocean floor, where it has turned up at the bottom of an undersea canyon
within 40 miles of the Florida Panhandle.
Plankton and other organisms at the base of the food chain showed a strong toxic response. Most likely to the COREXIT, not the crude.
The dispersant is moving the oil down out of the surface and into the deeper waters, where it can affect phytoplankton and other marine life.
More state restrictions on fishing in the Gulf of Mexico were lifted Monday as the fall shrimping season began.
