I wrote some men I highly respect about using BIBLE CODES to PREDICT the future.
I firmly believe this is SIN; Divination, witchcraft - FORBIDDEN.
The codes have been used to show GOD knew of events in advance, so I'd call them
a 1 way street - backward. Not for predicting the future!
DANGER!

A few friends of mine who are also theologians, sat down years back when
the Bible codes first came out. We took Shakespear and used different
formulas which are used in the Bible codes. We didn't need a computer to
do this and neither would anyone else if they'd like to give this a try.
We found historical events within our code as well as events that would
be in our future.
If I recall correctly, Gettyburg was one of the historical events. One
of the future events was the end of the world by fire. Things to note,
Gettyburg happened after William Shakespear. And the end of the world
hasn't yet come about but is prophecied (By Scripture mind you) that it
will be accomplished by fire. Shakespear was an anti-semite and
expierences fire in his current place of residence. He had no intention
of predicting the future and would've laughed at the coding we performed
on his works. If we were able to do this with Shakespear, I'm sure we
could do it with Dr. Seusse.
Numerology (that's what this coding is) has it's place in Scripture, but
it is limited... very limited. The shame is that we have some rather
brilliant men of God wasting their time with this when they could be
putting that valuable time into things that count. Why is it that we
feel that there isn't enough "worth" in the Word of God that we feel we
have to find something else then what is right in front of our faces?.
It would take multiple life times times a thousand plus to learn what is
in just the Torah. Do we really need to look for things that don't
exist?
The true test to this Bible coding is this. Don't tell me what it says
has already happened right down to the date, tell me what is going to
happen and on what date BEFORE it happens and stand by it! One time
one shot, if you (whoever that may be) is wrong, drop it for forever and
don't bring it up again. Otherwise I'll have to break out my young
nephews "How to Potty Book" and see what kind of revelations it has
to offer within it's code.

Shabbat shalom.
There is certainly no longer any doubt that there are, in fact, codes in
the Bible which may be a way of revelation of hidden things. Thus says
the L-rd in Amos 3:7: "Surely the Lord GOD does nothing unless He
reveals His secret counsel To His servants the prophets"
Throughout the history of the Jewish people, G-d has used numbers to
reveal certain aspects of Himself. Throughout the Psalms are numeric
acrostics and things connected with certain number sequences. These
things are simple. Why would not G-d also reveal certain hidden things
from the unbelievers with this same method of numbers and sequences?
No, I do not endorse numerology, but there have been things found that
are clearly from the Father; these things may be part of what the angel
spoke to Daniel about things hidden until the later days. Surely, we
are in those later days and certainly more and more things are being
revealed to G-d's elect who are willing to declare "thus says the L-rd."
Bible Codes? Actually these are not code but revelation. We should all
seek to know all we can about the truth of His word. BUT, we must not
ignore the plain truth, plainly revealed without the use of computers or
counting or any other such thing. HaShem is the only G-d. Y'shua, His
only Son is Messiah. The Ruach HaKodesh is alive and living within the
lives of all men and women of faith. This is the message that
transcends all codes and all time. Too often people get side-tracked
with searching for deeper things and miss the basics of faith. This is
where the Bible Codes have led many into error and sin.
Should we study Bible Codes to learn the future? "Tomorrow has enough
care of its own." We should be about our Father's business and work
while it is day. Do the Bible Codes prove things past? Things that
have happened need no proof. All things are in the Hand of the One who
created all things.
So, what of Bible Codes? Interesting reading and a somewhat pleasant
entertaining diversion. Not a bad thing, but certainly not the main
thing. And the main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing!

I do not get into numbers because I believe it is an attempt to bypass
obedience. Jesus said go and make disciples of all nations and instead,
we find thousands and thousands of reasons to not make disciples, to not
train, reach out and find those who do not know Christ nor give an
example to those who do what their commitment should be to obeying the
Lord.
Anything, anything at all that causes us to deviate from the plan of God
for us, Matthew 28, 18-20, is sufficient, be it religion or church or
anything else. God made us, we walked away and God wants all of us
back. Jesus came to earth at the height of religious practice for the
Jews, turned his back on the whole mess and went looking for workers.
Jesus turned his back on all the wisdom (numbers were there with the
Jews back then too) and made disciples. Get it? Make disciples. What
ever you do, wherever you go, make disciples.

THIS IS THE JUDGMENT
that the Light has come into the world,
and men loved the darkness rather than the Light,
for their deeds were evil.
GOD so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have
Eternal LIFE. For God did not send his Son into the world
to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
He who believes in Him is not judged;
he who does not believe has been judged already,
because he has not believed in the name of the only
begotten Son of God. John 3:16-19
