RESURRECTION Sunday!
The TOMB is EMPTY!!!
Jesus Last Week, the emtpy tomb :
The Empty Tomb
The Resurrection, He had risen early on the first day of the week
When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices,
so that they might come and anoint Him. Very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.
They saw that the stone had been rolled away, although it was extremely large.
Entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting at the right, who told them,
Do not be amazed, you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified.
He has risen. He is not here, behold, here is the place where they laid Him.

WHY DID JESUS FOLD the NAPKIN?
Why did Jesus fold the napkin, the linen buriel cloth after His resurrection? The gospel of John 20 v 7 tells us that
the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes.
The Bible tells us that the napkin was neatly folded, and was placed at the head of that stony tomb.
Christians are unaware of so much of the shadow of the Old Testament and Jewish tradition.
Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away.
Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see. The other disciple outran Peter and got there first.
He stooped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there, but didn't go in.
Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there,
while the cloth that had covered Jesus head was folded up neatly and lying to the side.
Was that important? Absolutely!
In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day.
The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition.
When the servant set the dinner table for the master he made sure that it was exactly as the master wanted it.
The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait out of sight until the master had finished eating.
The servant would not touch the table until the master had finished.
Now if the master were done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth and clean his beard
and would wad up the napkin and toss it onto the table.
The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days the wadded napkin meant I AM FINISHED.
But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table because
the folded Napkin meant I AM COMING BACK!
The LORD JESUS IS COMING BACK!!!! Hallelujah!
WHY DID JESUS FOLD the NAPKIN?:
Resurrection, John 20 , bible online:
Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,
that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved.
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already
because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

Jesus Death at 3:00 pm
Slain for YOU:
Jesus was nailed to a cross at 9:00 am.
At 12:00 noon the whole world went dark.
At 3:00 pm Jesus died.
As Christ hung on the cross, soldiers gambled for his clothes
A sign above Jesus head read, This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.
Two thieves were crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left.
The watching crowd mocked O Jesus Saviour, come down from that cross.
Even greater is Christ’s own anguish, the agony of the Father’s rejection.
With His suffering complete, He finally cries, It is finished!
There is some debate whether or not Jesus was crucified on Thursday or Friday.
Please DONT make a big issue of this. Even part of a day was reckoned as 'a day.'
Jesus did not say He would rise again in 72 hours.

It is finished, John 19 , bible online:
At noon, darkness fell across the whole land until 3 oclock.
At about 3:00 oclock, Jesus called out with a loud voice,
Eli, Eli lema sabachthani? which means My God, my God, why have you abandoned (forsaken) me?
Father, INTO YOUR HAND I COMMIT MY SPIRIT
Then Jesus released his spirit.
At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom.
The earth shook, rocks split apart, and tombs opened.
The bodies of many godly men and women who had died were raised from the dead.
They left the cemetery after Jesus resurrection, went into the holy city of Jerusalem, and appeared to many people.
