Israeli convoy escapes 2 bombs
Jan 15  An Israeli embassy convoy was driving from Amman to the Allenby Bridge crossing, when 2 roadside bombs
exploded on the road approaching the Jordan crossing. Jordan is half Palestinian and they are not motivated toward self defense.
Amman has been on high terror alert since 7 CIA agents and a Jordanian intelligence officer were murdered in Afghanistan Dec. 30.

Secret talks to carve up Israel 
Jan 12  Israel and the Palestinian Authority are negotiating indirectly via the U.S., Jordan and Egypt to outline a
Palestinian state that would encompass Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza.  Netanyahu's office released a statement
declaring the prime minister would never cede control of united Jerusalem nor retreat to the 1967 borders, referring to an
evacuation of the West Bank and eastern Jerusalem.

However, Netanyahu statement may be misleading unless he meant he would not retreat to the exact 1967 lines.

Ukraine hospital collapses after blast   
Jan 18   An explosion has partly demolished a hospital in Ukraine, killing 5 and injuring several others.
Some oxygen tanks exploded in a ward of the hospital, causing 2 floors to collapse.
600 people were in the hospital at the time of the blast.

Afghanistan Taliban suicide bombers 
Jan 18   Kabul under coordinated Taliban assaults.
20 Taliban terrorists launched an attack in Kabul, setting off explosions and sparking a gun battle.
The fighting erupted near the Serena Hotel and presidential palace.  4 attacked a shopping centre.  3 attacked a cinema.
 A number of people have been killed and dozens hurt.

EARTHQUAKES INCREASE in Magnitude 
January 17, 2010  The number of larger magnitude earthquake events has increased the past 40 years.
We use magnitude 6.0 quakes or greater.   Let's look at 2010 so far.
Using USGS statistics, they show the annual average of Richter 6.0 and greater quakes is 152.
We have already counted 9 events in the first two weeks this year.
If this trend continued, we would see 234 significant shakes and the seismic events plotted below would literally be off the chart.

We have had 2 Magnitude 7 quakes in the first 12 days of 2010.
On average, only 17 Richter 7's strike annually.
First the Solomon Islands were hit with a 7.1 on Jan. 4. 
Then a 7.0 devastated Haiti January 12th.
Either Earth is flushing out seismic tension early, or it's going to be a busy year.

It will be interesting to see if quake activity kicks up in California after these rains. 
Rains promote landslides and lubricate earthquake faults and add weight on underlying rock.

Jan 14  Physicians, rescue teams leave Israel for Haiti to establish a field hospital in Haiti with 40 doctors and 24 nurses.
The hospital will include an intensive care unit, 2 operating rooms, a pharmacy, and an X-ray lab. Search and rescue agents will also be included.

Jan 12-14  Haiti earthquake killed many.  A hospital and many buildings collapsed, people screaming for
help, many houses fell into a ravine. Communications are down, yet pictures are coming out of there.
UN headquarters collapsed.  16 UN personnel confirmed dead, 100-150 unaccounted for.

A major earthquake hit 9 miles off the coast of Haiti, followed by many powerful aftershocks including magnitudes 5.9 and 5.5.
The earthquake had a magnitude of 7.0  (to 7.3)  and was centered about 10 miles west of Port-au-Prince.
This was a slip quake, not a strike, and no tsunami was produced.

2 Dead in Georgia Truck shooting 
January 12  A disgruntled ex-employee opened fire in suburban Atlanta.  5 people shot at a Penske truck rental
business in Georgia. Gunfire at a Georgia truck rental business left 2 dead in deadly shooting at Penske.  Police said the
shooting in suburban Kennesaw happened inside the business Tuesday afternoon. Two people were reported dead and
3 others were reported in critical condition, after being airlifted to local hospitals.  The shooter is in custody.

These rumors have persisted for many months.  Its very possible.  JUST BE PREPARED

Jan 13  -  NO ONE  with active tuberculosis should get on a plane!  This is an evil plan.
ALL those passengers and those in the airports are now at risk.  
There is NO EXCUSE for this, and there has been NO EXCUSE for any of the recent airline-airport related incidents.
